Hailing from Northern California, N. J. Hanson is a member of the California Writers Club and writes fantasy and paranormal horror. He began writing the first draft of what would later become his first novel, The Last Stand of the Dragon, while still in high school. His second novel, An Empty Swing, was nominated for an American Fiction Award in Young Adult Fiction and became a finalist in its category.
